With heavy hearts, WOLFHETAN share some very sad news with you:
On January 4th, 2026, after a short but serious illness, our beloved friend and guitarist Richard (Drahcir) passed away at the age of 48. Today would have been his 49th birthday. At this time, we would like to express our deepest condolences to his family during this difficult period.
We wish his loved ones and friends strength and comfort, and we hope that everyone who knew him will remember Richard for who he truly was: a loyal friend with a big heart, an honest and sincere companion throughout the years, and a remarkable yet humble musician who preferred to remain in the background.
Richard, it was an honor to have known you and to have created all of this together with you. We will never forget you.

With Equinox, Narehell delivers an intense four-track release that captures the essence of transition, ritual, and timeless myth. Marking the arrival of the spring equinox, the project merges dark folk, ritual ambient, and cinematic sound design into a cohesive listening experience.
Opening with “Equinox of the Gods,” the release sets a powerful tone—an austere, mantra-like composition rooted in ancient hymnody. The track reflects on cycles of life and death with a restrained intensity that defines the record’s conceptual core, featuring Sol Iura Rua (Solventis) on vocals.
“Hårgalåten” reinterprets the well-known Scandinavian folk tale of the Harga dance, transforming it into a hypnotic and atmospheric piece. The narrative of a mysterious fiddler leading dancers into an unstoppable trance is rendered through layered instrumentation and escalating tension, bridging folklore with contemporary sonic storytelling.
On “Abyssal” expands into a deeper, more abstract sonic territory. With its evolving structures and immersive soundscapes, the track channels a sense of vastness and introspection, guiding the listener through atmospheres that are both haunting and expansive.
Closing the release, “Tryptica,” Narehell shifts into a more meditative space. The track explores themes of passage and transcendence, evoking ritual practices associated with the journey to the afterlife. Subtle textures and ceremonial motifs create a sense of suspension between worlds.
The project is composed and produced by Roques (Stille Volk), whose multi-instrumental performance—featuring nyckelharpa, guitars, mandole, lur, percussion, and experimental elements—forms the foundation of the record’s distinctive sound. Additional vocal contributions by Neïzahel introduce a layer of ethereal, ritualistic expression that enhances the album’s immersive quality.
Equinox positions Narehell at the intersection of traditional influence and modern composition, offering a refined and conceptually focused release that will resonate with audiences across dark folk, ambient, and experimental music scenes.

Karg – Weltenasche and Firtan – Ethos arrive on MC with raw presence and unpolished force.
DIAF – Das Feuer der Berge burns steady on CD and digital, while MOTHER HAVOC – Nach Haus feels close, worn-in, and personal.
BROTHERS OF A LONG FORGOTTEN WINTER – Remove the Splinters of the Troll’s Mirror stretches long and reflective, and INFAUST – Entseelt closes the circle with cold, stripped-down resolve.
Physical formats. Real sound.

The label compilation for 2025 brings together artists connected through a shared interest in folklore, mysticism, and expressive forms of dark folk and extreme music. The release moves between acoustic pieces, ritual atmospheres, and various approaches to black metal, without aiming for a single sound or strict genre definition.
Artists from across Europe and North America take part, including projects from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Slovenia, Canada, and the United States. Different languages, backgrounds, and musical methods meet here naturally, reflecting the international character of the label and its surroundings.
Each contribution stands on its own. Some tracks are rooted in traditional influences, others are personal, experimental, or confrontational in nature. What connects them is not style, but intention — music created as a form of expression, curiosity, and artistic necessity rather than formula or trend.
This compilation is meant as a snapshot of the label in 2025: a gathering of individual voices, shaped by place, experience, and imagination. It does not aim to define a scene, but to document a moment and the people involved in it.
House of Inkantation continues to function as a platform for artists working outside established structures — offering space for personal vision, intensity, and honest creative work.
